Gini enjoyed her clinical nursing for 10 years at North Kansas City Hospital working primarily in the Emergency Department. This allowed her and the nurse case managers who work with her to access the injured worker at the time of injury or very soon thereafter in many cases to begin the coordination of care in a manner that resulted in better outcomes and return to employment as part of the employers’ most valuable assets.

She is a recognized leader in the areas of small business and entrepreneurial spirit, having been named one of the 25 Under 25 best employers in Kansas City, received 3 consecutive nominations for the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, “Mr. K” Small Business Award and was named by the Kansas City Business Journal as one of the top 25 “Women Who Mean Business” in Kansas City.

In addition to being a 10 year member of the Kansas City Claims Association in the past, she served in every officer position of that organization including President of the organization.  She served on a volunteer basis for the City of Kansas City, Missouri through involvement in and serving for 6 years on the Mayor’s Committee for People with Disabilities and was eventually the Chairperson for that committee.
